  • The sand dunes are gorgeous.

We were so impressed of this natural wonder. You do not have to hire a sandboard as well, it is as much fun if you hike the dunes.

  • Most fantastic walk of our trip in the North Island.

You can only go at low tide. But what an experience!! Takes 2-3 hours in total and don't forget to run down the dunes!

  • Something special, a bit hard to climb the way back to the top of the dune.

  • One of the most surprising landscapes you can find in New Zealand.

You can walk for hours in the middle of this desert landscape, until you reach a beautiful beach. You can also rent a board and sledge on the dunes.
