We had a very good experience with Tui Campers.
With more than 3,800 km in 2 weeks, the camper never gave us any problems. There's enough space inside for 2 people and it's quite clean. Also, the staff is very friendly and we appreciated the warm welcome in Auckland for the check in and the warm goodbye in Christchurch!

Thanks for a great van for our New Zealand holiday Tui Campers!
We booked an older model which was so much cheaper than other companies and saved so much!

I've been on a few campervan trips before, and I have to say, they're a blast.
Tui was such good value, the campervan was perfect to go wherever you want, whenever you want, is unbeatable. You don't have to worry about finding a hotel or restaurant - everything you need is right there with you. It's definitely a unique experience that's worth trying at least once.

Tui campers were fantastic.
Great service from the courtesy pick up at Christchurch airport, the reception service ad overview of the camper coupled with some great travel tips and locations to visit. The camper was reliable, clean and comfortable with only small hitch when it lost power. However, stopped on roadside and called them and got fantastic support to get us back up and running. Easy to set up and pull down between holiday parks and the drop off reception was so good, efficient and friendly. Can't recommend Tui campers high enough, we were 3 adults and got the 4+1 hightop, very comfortable and spacious.

Having had our campervan that we pre booked 6 months before our trip cancelled on the day of arrival by a competitor company, Tui and Casey [Christchurch] the assistant came to our rescue.
They went above and beyond to help us with booking a van on the day and totally saved our honeymoon. We cannot thank them enough and had the most incredible trip. The van was amazing and spotless on collection.

I should have listened to the negative reviews regarding customer service.
The van drove fine. Nothing unsafe but there were definitely service failures. The USB charger on the passenger side did not work at all. The cigarette lighter USB charger was broken before we left the lot, they replaced it and that one broke too. We had to buy a new one on the road. The WIFI device never held a charge and was useless (Tui refused to refund). The biggest problem was one of the automatic side doors: it wouldn't shut properly. 9 out of 10 times we needed to go out and push it shut. Over night it meant that if you had to go out for any reason the person on that side needed to climb over the other person to get in and out of the camper.
After multiple emails Tui's response? basically that they run an older fleet and that's how they keep costs down. That's it nothing more. Too bad.
Yup, I won't be using them for my next trip.

Just the worst!
I was charged $100 for being a half hour late to theor apparentl pick up time of 3:30. try getting to the airport across town after a working day in Auckland! The thing I ended up with cost me $500 for 3 nights, absolutely not worth it.
The layout was the worst I’ve ever seen by some margin. Want to sleep? Sure but now you cant access the fridge or the toilet. You also have to fold the kitchen down completely and put stuff heck if I know where. No charging ports, no front cabin curtains, No storage anywhere. Want to cook? Sure, but now you cant access the kitchen are anymore as the cooker pulls out IN FRONT of the kitchen bench. The child lock was on for both back doors, so that was fun to find out. I’ve seen many campervan layouts and never have I seen anything done this poorely thought out and ill advised. Why even have a toilet if it cant be used? Also, absolutely everything has to come off the bed so it can fold out, I had to put mattress, bedding etc on wet grass cos there was literally nowhere else to put it. Just ahve the bed panle slide out so it can easily be converted into a bed without having to take everything off due to a hinge in the middle. Just silly. Avoid! There are many better camper van rental companies out there. Also, they are nowhere near the airport iof you are flying in.

Our van broke down and when I went to Tui in Auckland to meet with Sherri and sort out the van and refund.
Verbal abuse and accusations
I told Sherri that I had the receipt for the taxi, and she immediately lied to my face that they would only refund a day’s hire – less than the cost of the transport to Auckland. I balked at that and then the complete and utter abuse started. Examples (caps lock for underlining her anger and tone of voice): I KNOW WHAT I SAID – ARE YOU CALLING ME A LIAR! I WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS ABUSE (she was the abuser). I TRIED TO HELP YOU EVEN ON MY TIME OFF. YOU NEED TO SHOW ME APPRECIATION. And it went on and on, at the end I had to crawl and beg just to get a refund that would cover at least the transportation. She also accused me of not emptying the toilet block, however had done exactly that in the morning – ARE YOU CALLING ME A LIAR, SHERRI?!!!?!? (sarcasm may occur)

Stay away from these scam artists.
Cars are really crappy, shady terms and you get hit with tons of admin fees after returning vehicles
Camoervan had a ton of issues
1. Air did not work
2. Fridge never worked with vehicle off
3. Radio flaky
4. Gps not provided
Could go on and on but tldr do not do business with this company

Old vehicle which had two major water leaks.
Whenever it rained, it also rained on the bedding and our belongings. It took them 10 days to finally agree to change the van. Unresponsive manager, refusal to see the photos showing our ordeal and who ended up reimbursing us only for 3 days of rental out of the 10 spent underwater
