Quiet and flat.
Nice access to the lake and aviary. There is a water fountain in the playground. Maybe 20 parking spots available. 4-5 minute walk for bathrooms but they're in good shape and open 24/7, but if they're closed, there are some more down by the lake.

A nice enough park up spot for one night.
The proximity to Whanganui was good and the park next to the car park was lovely. There was an aviary next to the car park which was quite loud with bird noises and the road was a bit noisy too but not too bad. I only used the loos in the morning so not sure what time they shut but they were very clean and there was a water fountain and bins right next to the car park.

This was such a nice spot!
The camping area is directly next to the park, close to a playground. In front of the playground there is a barbecue are where you can cook for free. Very clean and nice! Water flush toilets are close, you just have to walk inside the park.

Perfect for a night.
Next to the park and a beautiful avery. Plenty of ducks and birds around. We strolled the park and enjoyed watching all the bird on and around the lake. Next to a busy road but it quiets down. Stayed there on a Saturday night and had a peaceful night sleep. Nearest toilet is in the park, but was clean and well lit. Max 4 self contained vehicles allowed.

Spot is next to a great park.
Decent walk to the bathroom but you get to pass a bird sanctuary where these birds will say Hi to you. Not the best spot I’ve been to but I’ve been spoiled. Next to a loud road. There is drinking water though!
