  • Good place to stay to be in the center of town with easy walking access to everything.

Woken up a couple times but overall it was pretty quiet. 24/7 bathrooms available, less than 2 mins walk. This spot is cool cause you're right on the river, and it's one of the only places in town with free all day parking.

  • Stood there with non-selfcon, no problems.

No toilets or water, lot of ducks and a bit noisy but not that much when u have earplugs haha.

  • Three years after the last reviews and still true.

Great location but loud after dark, seems like a spot for partying, even on a Monday night.

  • Great location for access to cafes, restaurants, bars and cinema but music started up at 10pm.

LOUD. Moved down the road to Taupo Quay (just past BP) for some peace. So good day stop for town but not to sleep

  • One night stay on a Sunday, looked picturesque and peaceful until 10pm.

Terrible night, youths drinking smashing bottles, burnouts, loud as car stereos. Phoned police...no joy, just stayed incognito until morning.

  • No bathrooms or water, but not a far walk through town to find a bathroom.

The camping is in the row of parking spots Northeast of the iSite along Moutoa Quay facing the river. The park was clean and easy close walks to bars and bakeries in town. Late at night on a Friday there seemed to be locals playing loud music and doing drugs but they went away later in the night.

  • The I-site - officials told us to use all the parking slots at the waterfront during the night.

    The two yellow-marked Campervan-slots are only for 60min. day-parking.

Nice location near CBD and some bars/restaurants. No more infrastructure at all.

  • No facilities, just 2 dedicated Campervan parks.

Nice spot. Be aware that there is a market in this car park on Saturday morning and you will be asked to leave at 5:30am, so not recommended for a Friday night stay.
