This was the most expensive motor park we stayed in on the north island & the least enjoyable.
The robot at reception has done too many check-ins & should look for another job. We foolishly opted to pay the extra $5 for the view but were situated only feet away from the dump station. In very little time we'd seen enough dumping & opted to move onto the lower area (where fellow campers were much friendlier) but were not offered our $5 back. One barbeque for all those sites isn't nearly enough & there was a queue...shower stalls are tiny & nobody likes a wet shower curtain that close to a naked body.... not good enough for $50 but unfortunately there are no other options close to Russell. If you have to stay there, avoid site #11 and those nearby.
Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear your stay with us did not live up to your expectations. Regarding our tariffs they are typical of a 4 star plus Holiday Park and reflective of the location, position and facilities offered. Our Deluxe Powered sites not only offer beautiful sea views, but your own grey water waste, picnic table and the ability to fill up with fresh water from your site. This is reflected in the $5 extra you pay for a Deluxe Powered site. We only have 17 Deluxe Powered Sites on offer and feel confident that dumping of waste does not occur frequently or excessively. Many guests have loved site #11, even though it is across the road from the dump station, and opted to extend their stay as they have enjoyed the position so much. If we had been made aware of your concerns at time and had been informed that you had opted to move to the lower field we would have gladly refunded the $5 to you, as the enjoyment of your stay is paramount to us. We would also like clarify that we have 3 complimentary gas bar-b-ques available to our guests. Once again, thank you for your feedback.

Anna & Niall were fantastic & had thought of everything to make our trip a stress-free holiday from the minute we arrived in Auckland.
On the drive to Raglan we were able to completely relax & enjoy the scenery while Niall gave us a few tips about travelling around this stunning country. Then we met Anna who introduced us to our campervan from end to end, covering everything we needed to know.
Raglan was a great jumping off point & these two are a wealth of knowledge. They are like people we had met on the road rather than people we were doing business with. We're very glad they were recommended to us!

Campbell gave us a fantastic cave tour, he is passionate about the caves & obviously loves his job.
We didn't want a commercial type tour with a crowd of people & we couldn't have asked for better. This is a small tour company run by locals & they care very much for the land & the state of the caves which are only a short ride from town. Campbell gave us more than our money's worth & we enjoyed every minute. Very memorable for all the right reasons
