Service has been pretty good (ie the pickup was booked through agent) and the vehicle has worked well.
The condition has been a bit disappointing with doors falling off and not really clean and things missing. I think it has seen better days.

Great fun visiting seal and penguin colony on Argocat, especially for a young boy.
Probably not the best way to see wildlife if that was your primary interest - get close to seals but penguins were very distant!

Brilliant location right on the beach, friendly host but slightly ghost town like - lots of caravans but no people!

Facilities good, all clean.
Efficient. Downside was small sites and busy (but that is understandable given the location).

Impressive rocks and worth the short walk down the beach - even when it is starting to rain.
Toddlers like standing/jumping off the boulders. But, don't give it more than 45 mins.

Gorgeous swimming spot (safe) in the Buller River; lovely cafe/bar on site.
Power sites are next to main road (SH6) which is a downside but traffic light over night. Showers not great.

Ben Lomond Track
Beautiful hike, generally easy hiking but steep section up to the saddle and even steeper to the summit.
Definitely aim for the saddle even if the summit is too much as the views of the Southern Alps are amazing.

Hooker Valley Track
Great walk to do with a toddler in a backpack - lots to entertain him eg swingbridges, river views and icebergs in the lake at the end.
Relatively easy hiking and stunning views of Mt Cook.
