We had a sueaky brake - they sent up the mechanic to look at it, determined it wasn't going to prevent us from continuing. John was super helpful!!

Paid $40 powered site right on the beach - our back doors practically opened on sand.
Awesome facilities, probably the cleanest we've seen.

Cathedral Cove Walk
This probably would have been a highlight if the whole track was open.
Track was closed to the cove and only open to the bays - one of which the track was covered in thick (2-3") mud.

Waikite Valley Thermal Pools
Campground fee included access to the thermal pools with evening and morning access.
The lack of clean restrooms/showers is what prevents a higher ranking.

Advertised as river front, in reality most sites backed into an 8ft frence and the river was on the sother side.
Very hospitable hosts though.
