  • Gorgeous free camping right by the beach!

Had a lovely surf (not big waves but so nice ) pass cola lake on your right and keep going 2/3mins down loads of camping cold shower clean toilets beautiful views. Dump station 15mins up road at carribgton. Ground is a bit uneven but dooable for most vehicles. Didn’t get bothered by anyone (have seen on other reviews about a local ) and about 10 other campers but felt we had own space !

  • Water has the colour of Coca Cola, good for a swim.

A big brown lake next to a nice beach!

The lake is called Roto Po Kaka and a bit hard to find. Park at the marked spot, where the toilets are, and walk along the beach where the motorhomes are in the freedom camping zone. There's a sign, which shows the lake on the right.

  • Lake really looks like Cola, but for me only smelt like normal water.

    A little hard to find.

Do not miss Doubtless Bay nearby.

Lake looks and smells look it is coca cola. Swimming in it is supposed to have healing powers.
