Relaxing and peaceful place. At the botanical gardens there are little creeks, Chinese architecture, good for your soul!
It is a strange/funny town with a lot of animations.
Very nice little city with the traditional aspect which we look for.
A fantastic town to explore, the Victorian town is filled with amazing buildings and cute shops - also a great pub there filled with locals.
Cute little shops in old victoria buildings.
We learned to ride a pony for free, Funny!
It was a pleasure to see the old past of the town still surviving, not demolished all 'for progress' or redevelopment.
Worth a visit walking around the little victorian town, plenty to see and buy if one should choose to, also the penguins early morning.
Great walking around a Victorian town, plenty to see.
Very unique in New Zealand. Go on Sunday when there is a farmers market nearby.
A good experience. Nice arts and crafts to be found there, and some great quirky details. We also really enjoyed the playground nearby - which was really good for older children.

Enjoyed the 1949 rugby game, walk through gardens and town with actors dressed up in period costume.
