Phenomenal experience. Not cheap, but kayaking in Mt Aspiring National Park is something I would recommend to everyone! This is geared towards the less sporty types with relatively little kayaking.

Really enjoyable fun day. Staff very helpful and knowledgable. Very good lunch, well organised. Pace set to weakest in group so a little stop start/stop start.

Well organised, excellent jet boating, funyak trip good fun, very good lunch.
Quite expensive trip, but wonderful jetboating on the Dart River and fun to go back in a kayak. Lunch was good.
I'll pretty much second what Nathan said below. Very patient and informative guides and an incredible experience.
After reaching Queenstown I surfed the net to find some cool activities and the Funyak Safari immediately caught my eye. You get a jet boat ride (I can't get enough of jet boating), a gormet picnic (delicious!) and the chance to canoe back down the dart river past some amazing scenery! The trip itself did not disapoint, I absolutley loved it! Our Guide was entertaining, smart and informative and just before lunch she brought us to this secret creek just off the river which was just right out of some kind of mythical land, the colour of the river was a rich green, sheer walls of rock stretching up above us, beautiful trees, and Tui's singing around us. What a trip! It's what New Zealand is all about. I'll jump at the chance to do it again when I get back to Queenstown.
