Start your journey through New Zealand's stunning landscapes at a Department of Conservation (DOC) Visitor Centre. Information about conservation areas, as well as DOC's 14,000 km of tracks, 9 Great Walks, and network of 950 huts and 324 campsites.

** Visitor Centre is beng upgraded - A small temporary visitor centre and toilets can be found in the upper car park above the site of the old centre. We offer track and weather info and sell basic souvenirs and basic safety items. **

DOC Taranaki / Te Papa-Kura-o-Taranaki Visitor Centre is staffed by DOC rangers who have firsthand, in-depth local knowledge. We provide information about:
