276 Freedom Camping
This is a Timaru District Council designated overnight camping spot for self-contained people only. Right on the edge of the river just off the main road at the Arundel Bridge. Picnic tables and long drop toilets - quite popular with the motorhome gang.

Quiet camp area by the river. No mobile reception. No human would use the long drop toilet...it's feral so you really do need to be self contained. Free site and served us very nicely.

Big open grassy space with a drop loo. Byo toilet paper, not unclean but not pristine. Plenty of space for large motorhome, makes for a good spot to pull in for a night. It was popular over Easter but still heaps of space so you don't feel like you are camping on top of each other

Really nice quiet location to break up our trip back to Christchurch. There are a few large potholes but other than that a great free campsite.
Relaxing country field by a river. Disappointing that we were the only vehicle self contained out of 10. Come on guys don't ruin it!
Quiet despite being near road. Lovely big grassy space next to river with drop toilet. We liked this one!
This camping is ok. Clean toilet, plenty of places, no noise. We did a short walk to a nice river close to the site.
Nice freedom camping spot with drop toilet. River close by and nice grass area to park or play. No sink.
Grass and toilets, a bit close to the road but not a lot a passage. On the road to the Pell Forest and Geraldine.
And free of course. \
No signs anyway.
