Not sure where people are going that they have to pay, this is a freedom camping spot and is very free.
Great spot right by the beach, with long drop toilet and rubbish bins.

As mentioned, not free.
But worth it.
We pretty much had the place to ourselves and the beach was right in front of us. The highway isn’t as loud as you would think giving how close it is, same goes for the train. If anything, the waves are the loudest at night and there were no complaints here. Beautiful view of stars at night along the horizon too.

Nice place.
Close to railway line but beautiful view looking out the other way! Not actually a free site - cost $10 a nite but was sure worth it. The camp caretaker was very friendly and helpful.

Hi, rankers app says it's free, however it is $10.00 per night/day.
Nice spot. But should not be listed as free.

Cost is $5 per stay.
About 30 spots but no shade. Entrance is not signposted. Can take large vehicles. Popular with locals for fishing. Caretaker most of the year on site. Private property. No facilities.

A great friendly spot on the beach for self contained vans.
Some sites have good views of the ocean. It can be a little noisy with the logging trains passing close behind the camp. Good fishing for surf casters and kontiki fishers.

Yesterday we checked out the camp site only to be met with an INCREDIBLY rude man, who told us to leave immediately in an very rude and aggressive manner.
We did not expect such a disgusting attitude - we won't ever be camping here, and will definitely be telling others of our experience.
