Located in Nelson Lakes National Park, Mt Robert rises steeply from the still waters of Lake Rotoiti.
The 5 hour day walk is a loop track which offers incredible views, and passes by a number of cute little huts and shelters. The track is narrow and overgrown in places with snow/ice in winter/spring.

The walk was challenging and mostly bare. Sunscreen is necessary on this walk. The view from the Summit was great but the lack of plant scenery on the way up/down was disappointing.
Very nice walk with changing scenery. First is steep, nice challenge. After it is more relaxed walking. Was way shorter than written. Did 9km in 3 hours instead of 5 hours.

Nice three hour walk, first hour is steep climbing and after it was quite easy walking. Good views to the lake and mountains!

Good road access. Track marked clearly. Nice views! Just over three hours.
Nice loop with views of the Lake Rotoiti. The walk is nice through the bush and over the top but not as nice when walking through rocks.
Amazing and absolutely stunning nature and tracks. So far my favourite place in New Zealand!

The Mt Robert Loop was a wonderful hike above Nelson Lakes. Much of the hike is above the bush line with expansive views.
Nice views and good walkways, little bit hard to walk up.
Nice views to Lake Rotoiti, good walkways.
Not too tough a walk. Incredible views over the lake.
Great walk to the top of the mountain with a beautiful view over the Lake Rotoiti.
It is a good walk for a day trip to the Nelson Lakes. Gives you a very nice view of the lake.
