The Wellington Botanical Gardens are a true oasis, overlooking the capital city of New Zealand. Fantastic views from the top!
Accessing the gardens by cable car adds a special dimension.
Great for the family.

03Oct18. Cable car to top $5 one way, $9 return. Good walks around the gardens. The treehouse was good, although we didn’t go inside. Cafe at the top. We were glad we went in there rather than wait for the one at the bottom of the gardens. The walk down to the city past the Beehive was good. Interesting cemetery. Some quite tragic stories on headstones.

Nice gardens, well maintained, the cafe was also lovely next to the rose garden - tea and carrot cake! Typically english, loved it.
