Time: 1 hour
A visit to the Capital City would not be complete without a visit to NZ's beautifully refurbished Parliament Buildings.
Get amongst the historic suburb of Thorndon, and view the old buildings. The complex is made up of three architecturally distinctive buildings: the Edwardian neo-classical Parliament House, the Victorian Gothic Parliamentary Library and the unique 1970’s style Beehive building.
Free guided tours leave on the hour.

Great commentary, especially if your guide is Ken!
We enjoyed every minute and every joke. Wait till the end to the 'underground' exhibition to find out how the building is protected from earthquakes.

We joined the tour and really enjoyed it because you get to see and walk in 'important rooms' and they tell you much about the building and how they 'save' it from earthquakes.

A free tour around 1 hour with a guy who explains the areas of parliament.
A different place to visit, it was a little boring and not really interesting.

Excellent guide who was witty and informative.
You see the earthquake protection of the buildings and go into the chamber. We shared a lift with the speaker!

Our tour guide was abysmal - buildings nice, other tour guides seemed more with it, but despite our guide, worth doing (only and hour and you can read the leaflets instead of listening!).
