Clean bathrooms and showers
Great location by the lake
Friendly and helpful staff
Well-equipped kitchen
Quiet and peaceful site
Wifi connection unreliable
Expensive rates
Great, nice and small site.
Rik Lammers
Lovely small site.
Sue Eastwood
Friendly, welcoming owners.
Beulah Joseph
Nice camping in a nice spot.
Rya
Friendly staff and a very quiet site.
Andre
Lovely clean, tidy and secure small campground.
Dave and Carol are lovely hosts. The area is very pretty with the lake and a domain/kids pump track etc right next door. Facilities good, wifi provided, but connection was a bit unreliable. Cost $60 for a powered site for campervan x 2 people which was a little more than expected, however we were last minute arrivals, and we're appreciative to have a safe site to rest.

By far the nicest Holiday Park we’ve been to on the North Island.
Bathrooms and showers are spotless, community kitchen is huge and the location on the lake is spectacular. There is a very nice walking path around the lake. We’ll see how ambitious I am in the morning. Checking was easy. We arrived without a booking, contacted Dave at the gate and he got us all set up. $80.00 per night for powered site and 2 couples. Park grounds are immaculate.

Small campsite for a night before dropping off the campervan in Auckland.
It's quiet at night, though on daytimes there are trains and trucks around. Facilities a bit out of date, but very clean. Free hot showers. No wifi, 15 $ ppn powered sites.
It really was all right.

Nice place near the lake.
Kind people. Everything was ok. We selected as last campersite before we leave the campervan at the Auckland airport next day, and it was a great decision.

Nice little campground right beside the lake which is about 45 min to walk around.
Very good value with 20 NZD for powered site. Spotless facilities. It is a real pity the owner / caretaker is so grumpy und unhelpful. Should spend less time cleaning and start seeing campers as customers not as nuisances. Only place during a 5 week holiday where we have been made feel unwelcome.

Worst experience we've had during our 3 weeks road trip in New Zealand.
Incredibly unfriendly and unnecessarily rude owner who told us that we were not welcome after we mentioned that we needed to leave the campground again in the evening as we had reservations for dinner in Hamilton expecting to be back around 10 pm. She launched into a diatribe that our late arrival would upset the whole camp and she did not want to deal with the complaints. Before we were able to say a word she continued "And next, you're gonna tell me that you will be quiet, but that won't work". So if you book this campground keep in mind that you won't be able to go anywhere by car in the evening which is ridiculous.
