Reasonably priced and decent clean facilities. No view and was a bit boggy from rain with puddles in a lot of places. Great little pub down the road on the beachfront and playground for the kids just out the front of the grounds.

Clean and tidy facilities for showers, kitchen and laundry. Need $2 coins to wash/dry. No view from campsite and very boggy from rain, but a playground out the gate and good little pub 5-7 minutes walk back to main road and stunning beach 💕

Wonderful quiet spot for accessing the Yellow Eyed Penguins at Roaring Bay, Nugget Point, and glorious coastline. Lovely welcoming lady who checked the toilets at 10.00 pm, and cleaned up the excellent kitchen next morning at 7.00 am. Unlimited wifi, good enough to Facetime UK!
Meh! Hot showers, good laundry, decent kitchen and wifi. Just what we needed. Otherwise nothing special.
I think for paid campsites I liked this the best on my trip to NZ. I mean all the Top 10's are great but this was awesome. Everything was clean, there were pots and stuff to use in kitchen for free. No time limits for hot showers. The owner was very nice and helpful. 16 dollars per person. Also, Nugget Point with Yellow-eyed Penguins are closeby (8km) and the Pub in Kaka Point is very cozy. Highly recommend if you want some change for Top 10s.
We had the site to ourselves which was nice! It was clean and tidy with level gravelled sites. No playground but a nice remnant forest walk ends in the campground.
