  • Lovely old kiwi campground just outside of town.

Nice people, lovely and quiet and only $22.50 for a powered site (compared to $50-60 in town!)

    Old but clean bathrooms.

The whole place has a nice safe feel to it.

  • Always very friendly and tidy.

The washing machine wash better then any laundry but the dryer are not very efficient. Price is 45 for two adults and 10$ per child. The sites are a bit muddy and soft at this time of the year. The game room is great and heated, the playground old school with a trampoline, ideal for kids! Showers are unlimited and free. Recommend.

  • Stayed 1 night in July 2024 (winter) on a powered site in our caravan.

Paid $65 for 2 adults and 2 children. Owner/manager was very helpful and friendly - willingly helping us sort out our power connection. The grass was very wet and soggy. Fine on a frosty morning though. Kitchen, toilets and showers we're dated but very clean and tidy. Our kids enjoyed the playground and the games room with free pool and free table tennis. There were also two coin operated gaming machines in the games room as well as a toy area. There were lots of trees and bushes, mostly diciduous - felt like it needed more evergreen trees to feel green in the winter. The whole campsite needs a bit of love. It was a good base for a short stay to visit the hot springs. Half the price of the top 10 campsite.

  • Seriously Hamner’s best kept secret - beautiful setting lots of shade under the trees, spacious and private sites, great facilities, heaps for kids to do, friendly relaxed management .

Easy 11 o’clock departure. We were able to get all our washing done, make our bread, have showers and freeze down for $45. Felt immense gratitude. Our dogs too very happy.

  • Bien aimé cet endroit familial avec de beaux jeux pour les enfants, des tenanciers agréables.

Une cuisine toute en guirlande, une laverie qui fait le taf, des sanitaires propres, une bonne douche.

    N’hésitez pas !

  • I can highly recommend to go here.

Price is 16$ for one person for one night with a Campervan on a non powered site.

This price is great for what you get: free wifi, free hot shower, clean kitchen, BBQ Station.

The facilities are a bit older but everything was clean and in a good condition.

  • Good campsite for tenting.

Has all the needs, shared kitchen, washer/drier, bathrooms. Is very dated and was hard to find the way around. Not a bad place in general.

  • Nice little campground a few minutes drive from the centre of town.

Good facilities, dated but clean. Hot showers were brilliant and a hair dryer in the girls bathroom was handy.

We unfortunately encountered a lot of bugs which put a dampener on our night there as it was hard to keep them out of the camper! Otherwise it was a pleasant stay overall.

  • Great for kids.

1A is a powered site right next to the playpark. Big kitchen area with indoor and outdoor dining areas. 3 washing machines and 2 dryers plus outside washing lines. Just outside Hanmer Springs which meant a lovely 8km running loop from the campsite and around the town. We would definitely recommend.

Host was super friendly, facilities were fine, only the kitchen was in need of small repairs. Would take a powered site again anytime!
