    Excellent campground, host and facilities.

We parked our caravans on the premium "beach view" sites. However, these are better suited to campervans than caravans, as backing onto the sites was a bit tricky. These sites are also more exposed to wind.

Stayed here for 3 nights totally enjoyed the facilities and location.

The food truck and café just top it off. Well done, we will be back.

This is a good little camping ground we have two small children The play ground is fought on the main drive way so you need to be aware of that and just a bit over priced for my liking.

We really enjoyed our stay at this family run campground.

We arrived after reception closing hours without pre-booking. The staff happily reopened reception to help us, and were helpful suggesting walks and activities to do. The campground itself is in a prime beachfront location, has comfortable lounge/TV areas and all facilities were clean and well maintained. I imagine it gets pretty busy in the summer, but not during our winter trip. We will be recommeding to any friends that visit the area!

Super friendly staff and the facilities are fantastic.

Easy access to the beach and great for fishers! Reasonable sized tent sites. And there are spas, plenty of toilets, and showers on-site. Will 100% go back!

    Excellent!

I stayed there for 1 night and cost $26 for a site (non powered)- which was a little expensive but you have access to kitchen, TV room and right on the beach. 50 cent showers which was very good! would stay there again, more of a family campsite though.

When we were there it was really empty, so nice and quiet.

Buildings are quite big so there is a lot of room for a lot of people. Nice cooking facilities and the (50 cent) showers are awesome.

    Bowentown beach holiday park.

Better location than Ohope as you have Anzac Bay on the other side and best of all, a lovely beach to the East of Anzac Bay that has 170+ steps to get down to, but worth every second. The site itself also has access to the Ocean beach. Pretty good facilities and good customer service

We spent a relaxed and calm week at Bowentown.

The helpful and friendly people at the camp gave us a feeling of being "at home". They have enough toilets and showers, always very clean. A roomy, clean kitchen and a nice barbecue. We felt very comfortable. It is an outstanding place to be. Thank you very much for your hospitality.

Yep I must agree with some of the other reviews about the flooding here, we were placed in a area that was very wet down at the harbour end of the camp.

We had water coming up from under the ground and yes there were lots of pot holes and they were filled with water, wouldnt be hard to fill them in and lots of mud where the cars drive, infact some were very deep. Just seems to be

lack of pride in trying to keep the place nice for the

    campers.

Had some friends go and check the place out last weekend to see if it had been repaired before we looked at going back but NO still the same, they havent even fixed the

boggy hole on the driveway towards the harbour end, full of

    water and mud everywhere.

    Update

We have booked into another camp at Waihi Beach after checking it out, found it to be very clean with GREAT

grounds and nice roads flowing though the camp, no

    potholes etc.

They even have a heated swimming pool and great facilities for the kids.

I have no problems with paying for a shower, it is very common, especially if the campsite is on tank supply. I have already suggested to friends that it is worth visiting.
