Nice big grass fields for unpowered sites at $14 pp.
Good facilities and it was windy and there was plenty of space to hide from that too.

Beautiful views of both the ocean and Taranaki. Great price. Clean facilities. And, man, that shower.

Great campsite for good money.
Nice toilets and showers cleaned daily. Owners friendly same with the people we met there. Nice kitchen. Bit windy sometimes but nothing extreme.

Wonderful powered campsite right by the beach for a decent price (~34 for two ppl).
The owners are super friendly too and even stayed open a few minutes later in the winter for us to arrive. Good bathroom/shower facilities.

Lovely quiet place.
One big grass campsite, well maintained. Friendly woman at the reception and there was also a campsite cat that walks around. Facilities were clean, a little bit outdated but still fine. We also did some laundry and there was enough space to hang it outside. 2 min. Walk to the beach, lovely!!

We loved the park, it was beautifully kept & so cheap.
We were only staying one night, but stayed three. Very close to city if you wanted it. Definitely be back, the staff were so friendly. Black sand, if you have a van park up on the hill, wow sea views.

Big and grassy, as described bins and water on every powered site, 20$ adult. Very clean facilities, shops and everything you need close by. Beach within walking distance. Owners are super friendly!

UNTIL there is a resident who seems to be abit awol.. abused and threatened my kids to the point they came back crying and shaking..
If it wasn't for him we would of stayed longer and maybe again..

Beautiful !
Exceptional customer service, very clean and well looked after. Safe and secure ! A really nice quiet place, right next to the black sand beach. The locals are lovely, downfall was seeing other guests disrespectfully jump the fence to the beach, rather than walking a few extra steps past the office. We will definitely be back !!!

This park is immaculate.
The powered sites have water and a rubbish bin between two sites. Very friendly and helpful staff. The shower and laundry block are spotless. I stayed here during some very rainy weather. I will beback in summer.

Close to beach and a short walk. Would come again.

Very run down.
Stayed one night and arm on gate came down on back of our camper took paint off they apologised and said happy and for us to send bill as had been having problems with gate arm. Sent bill they said it was our fault and they will not be paying anything towards repair. Not so much the money but the fact they went back on there word. Wont be back here again clearly.
