Great spot out amongst the trees.
Has all the Penny facilities you could need, flushing toilets, showers, laundry, charging stations, induction hobs and sinks for washing up. You do need a Penny card to use, but they’re great facilities and very clean. The spot itself is beautiful, right amongst the pine trees and stars. Great in between for Tauranga and Rotorua. Would happily stay here again.

Free camp and great place to enjoy the peaceful nature, with plenty of parking options.
Facilities are run by ‘Penny’ cash so you must have your card to access these, everything you need including a laundry - cost for everything is minimal

This place is perfect to stay for free on your way to or out of Rotorua.
Lots of space for campers under the trees or in the car park. The new facilities needed a kiwi camp key which you can buy from most shops and load money on to. Toilets were immaculate and could be used for free.
Also had drinking water, showers, kitchen facilities etc. it was such a good freedom camping site we returned the next evening! Really recommend

Beautiful spots between the trees.
Although it is a kiwi campsite which meant that you need the kiwis card for the showers and the tap water, the toilets where open and there was a shelter as well
