Firmin Lodge Carpark

Firmin Lodge Car Park is the most widely used site because of its close location to the Tarawera River. It is a short stroll to the riverwalk and has public toilets they are open 24 hours

Firmin Lodge Car Park also has power access and a dump station facility. A key for the power can be picked up from the Kawerau isite for a $41 bond, which is returned once the key is returned.

Powered sites are $12.50 per night and must be paid while registering your details.

If you are a campervan with solar panels and do not wish to use power, you can stay for free for 7 nights

We prefer this spot to the one in town, it has toilets, a drinking water tap (on the wall of the Firmin Lodge), and is beside the river with grass and green.
And still walking distance to the free swimming pool plus spa. What a blessing!
