  • To be fair, the weather was really bad.

    we made purchases in the shop, and they offered their free camping for self contained vehicles. at first the surface appeared to be mud, but I was mistaken as it was crushed lime. so be careful to not tramp it into vehicle. it was a very quiet camp spot. It rained all night, and the river was in flood the next morning, but we were not at any risk. if you are a member of NZMCA, then there are special discounts and free bed socks with some purchases.
