5 Star service from the woman running the Auckland Depot!
She’s a superstar. The van itself was great; clean with all linens and kitchen supplies. We had a Budget 4Berth which was obviously an older model (the newer ones were all booked). So understandably, there were quirks:
-very little power uphill! Beware and expect this going up those windy turns
-2nd gear on our van sometimes had issues; car would die sometimes
-hot water didn’t work but we were told later sometimes you need to click the button on and off before it catches
All in all we liked our van and this rental company. Will definitely rent from them on our next trip!

Well apppinted and very clean holiday park!
We didn’t swim in the pools but the water was a perfect temperature. The kids loved the trampolines and the playground is brand new. Kitchen well maintained. Perfect spot for the last night returning to Auckland. Showers were very hot and hair dryer provided!

Brighton Reserve
Excellent spot right on the beach.
Bathrooms and outdoor cold shower. Free gas grills cleaned daily by the county (awesome!). We found the most incredible shells on this beach. Only spots for 4 campers tho. We didn’t realize we had to park in a designated area but got lucky no ranger came by. Our kids loved the park playground. Would have stayed on more days if we could.

Flaxmill Accommodation and Campground
The most well appointed campsite we stayed at!
Beautiful landscapes grounds, new buildings, immaculate stainless steel kitchen, modern bathrooms which played great music. The bay across the street was idyllic. They appear to be building more ensuite lofts so hopefully they keep the campervan sites going. We will definitely be returning!

Affordable Willowhaven Holiday Park
Amazing spot right on the lake!
The sunrise was gorgeous. Host was very nice and helpful. Kitchen and bathrooms clean. There was even a small playground w trampoline for the kids. Nice campsite and price was great! We paid $46 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Definitely recommend!

Shelly Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park
Clean facilities, large bathroom/shower, grounds are well maintained.
Right on the bay, at low tide you can walk out for miles. I would agree w other reviewers, not really a swimming beach but there is lots to entertain. Gorgeous view. We did get bit by sand flies but that’s to be expected! Our kids loved the jumping pillow and the trampolines!
