Quite steep & exhausting track.
Do not wear jeans in case of bad weather. Take enough to eat & drink with you. Awesome track through craters (Lord of the Rings scenes) and fantastic views.

Fantastic view over Wellington + surroundings.
Take Bus no. 20 up to Mt. Victoria and walk from the top down again (bus no.20 only runs Mon-Fri).

Perfect view over Wellington and its bay; very nice walks through the garden - take the way through the Rose Gardens + Herb Garden via Sound Shell & Tree House.
(in January free concerts in Sound Shell on evenings - very nice!)

Stunning views of the Red Rocks and the coast.
You can see seals from May - November. Sturdy footwear recommended - you can also drive the track with a 4WD.
