It is the McDonalds of campgrounds I imagine as you know what you are getting!

Probably the least pleasant campground we stayed in.
The toilets & showers & kitchens all needed renovation & smelt. It was cheap but not cheerful.

Fairly easy track with some lovely views of the sea.
A good walk although the track was very busy with hikers.

Basic van but suitable for our needs & very cheap.
Free pickup & return to Christchurch airport which is a bonus.

Very friendly & informative staff who offer full refund if no whales are sighted.
Boats are well equipped although due to large numbers of tourists can feel very commercial.

Interesting museum giving good facts about early European settlements & geographical information.
