Whale Watch Kaikoura
Whale watching from a speed boat.
After going to the whale spot for 15 minutes, we saw three breathing whales. Felt more like a whale hunt though. Although, like that you are guaranteed to see them.

Nice short boat tour - we did it with two kids.
Safe and not too long for them, quite interesting, although quick.

Great to have a swim directly afterwards in the Sound.

Puponga hilltop walk
We parked the car at Cape Farewell to make it easier with a 9 month old and 3 year old.
We had wonderful views of the coastline. 2.5 hour walk. A taxi gives you a ride back for $10 from Farewell Spit cape to the carpark.

Beautiful trip along the National Park.
Good commentary from the captain. Although we were late he went slow so that the dolphins could join us and swim near the boat.
