Lovely site with loads of space.
Toilet block clean and tidy but no light and only seemed to have 1 female cubicle open.
Beautiful view in the morning.
If you're looking for a shower, head to Cromwell Pool and pay $7, go for a little swim (optional) and then shower. Really lovely little town.

Does the job when no other spaces in town.
No toilets and only 6 spaces for vans.
People tend to ignore the 6pm to 8am rules so spaces fill up early but there are cctv cameras on the car park which may be watching for issuing fines. Overstay at your own risk.

Perfect first night.
Clean toilets and easy payment. Not much space between vehicles.

Beautiful view in the morning of the lake and mountains.
Long drop toilet stunk! So be warned.
No lights in toilets or on site.
Rough track.
For 1 night to experience the lake view it is definitely worth it.

Great location for wine tasting, we spent a night here and did a walking wine tour visiting 4 vineyards in one afternoon.
Toilets were open all night and plenty of space.

Evans Bay Marina Carpark
Stayed for 3 nights and were really pleased.
Clean toilets, felt secure and was surrounded by other vans. Didn't get there until the afternoon and there was plenty of spaces. Good transport links to town and lovely area. Only downside there is only 2 toilets for 52 spaces which means there's a small queue in the morning.

Lovely view in the morning.
Overnight toilet was quite dirty but had been cleaned by the morning. Neighbouring day toilet block was clean and tidy but no lighting and locked after dark.

Perfect for 1 night.
Didn't have a penny card so couldn't use the shower or power but paid via the app. Free WiFi and washing up facilities with hot water, clean toilets. Great for a hiking day.

Well worth the $55!
No space at the freedom site and punted for here. Hot pools were a wonderful bonus and showers and toilets were very clean.

Arrived at 1900 and it was packed.
Potholes everywhere in the ground which were unavoidable. No lighting so couldn't see where spaces were, to top it all off the toilets were rank!

It is what it is. No frills. No toilets so must be self contained. Has photos of how the toilet has to be in vans as to avoid a fine.

Used the kiwicamp site, close to the Roadhouse complex.
Easy to use once purchased a Penny card from the vending machine at $5.
Clean showers and toilets which were cleaned first thing in the morning. $25 for 24 hours of power, so really reasonably priced! Other kiwicamp facilities were also available.
