Not a bad spot considering the limited options in Wellington.
Thought that the facilities were limited for a Top 10 Park and a little expensive compared to others. Staff friendly and site we were given fairly private if not a little muddy. Approximately 15 mins into the city.

Hot Water Beach TOP 10 Holiday Park
Fantastic caravan park.
The best on our trip so far. Facilities included full camp kitchen with nice seating area heated by a wood heater (August 2025). Plenty of showers (free). Toilets clean. Property has a heated pool (lovely and warm even in winter) and undercover spa pool. Jumping pillow for the kids.
We hired a shovel for $5 and headed over to Hot Water Beach to dig our pool of hot water (maybe 40 degrees Celsius). Amazing!!!!
Set in gorgeous grounds in a fantastic setting. Very reasonably priced for the facilities provided. Would definitely recommend.

All Seasons Holiday Park
We stayed for two nights but didn’t spend a lot of time in the park due to sightseeing.
Didn’t use the pool due to local swimming lessons being held, but looked ok. Facilities clean but tired. One of the more expensive parks we’ve stayed in but not my favorite. No sulphur smell but a fair distance to town.

Not bad for a free camp.
About 8 spots available at the end of the carpark closest to the toilets. Compliance officer came around first thing in the morning so make sure you have your self contained visible and that you are parked in the designated spots to avoid a fine. A little noisy being so close to road but otherwise ok for a night.

Waitangi Holiday Park
Nice spot.
Campsite was gravel and grass and a little wet when we were there. Friendly staff at reception and facilities were clean. We walked into town from there (maybe 20 mins) along a nice foreshore path.

We arrived late.
Info left for us at reception in their safe and left again early the next day. What we saw of the park was nice and well maintained.

Uretiti Beach Campsite
Nice spot right on the beach.
Nice grassy areas to park and you choose your own spot. Non powered sites with free cold showers or hot showers for a $2 coin. Long drop toilets.
A little pricey for what you get ($36 - 2 people) but nice for our one night stop.
