Quite pricey at $42 a night but had great clean big facilities with large spaces also the staff were super helpful with good local knowledge.

Te Pō Maori Cultural Experience and Dinner
Bubbling mud village was really cool, guide gave us tour and history, saw haka and got a real insight into Maori culture.
We had a free walk around as well.

An amazing beach where you can surf and swim with an added attraction, you can rent a shovel at certain times of the day and dig your own volcanic rock hot water spa.

Saw seals and waterfalls, Milford Sound is beautiful but it is essentially just a boat ride.

South of Kaikoura there is an amazing campsite fully equipped with facilities and fun things to do also has beach plots - best campsite in NZ.
