Great site overlooking the Bay, good facilities, walk back up from the village is steep but the views are worth it.

Weather was great but we did not expect such big swells (for 1st timers). Beautiful area.

Oamaru Blue Penguin Colony
We loved seeing the penguins though the commentary lacked excitement.
However, we paid $25 and afterwards we saw dozens of penguins on our walk back! For free......

Unfortunately it rained on us (not their fault) but the price was steep for what it was.
They could have thrown in a hangi corn cob!
