Probably our favourite site on our trip.
Stayed in a fairly private site and liked the new toilet and shower block. Showers were $2 for 5 minutes.
Also had a new laundry block (€4 wash and $1/10minutes drying).
Site had a cafe that you could sit in after hours with nice sofas. Person on desk was very friendly.

Free campground with flushing toilets (we had to bring our own loo roll though).
No issue with getting spaces for us.
Grassy field so had to be careful parking after it rained.
Far enough away from the highway that it was pretty quiet, would stay again.

Nice campground, arrived late-ish and the owner was very friendly.
$30 for 2 people powered site, paid with cash.
Toilets and kitchen all a bit dated but wasn’t an issue for us.

Good campground, really nice bathroom block with heaters in the showers and a heated towel rail.
Has all the facilities you’d expect from a top 10, of course you do have to pay a high rate though.
Limited to 1GB interest per day- no fibre internet in Ohakune yet.
Laundry is $5 which was a bit annoying (cash machine and new world nearby though).

$20 for two people for a night.
Owner was friendly and the beachside location is very pleasant.
Has 4 long drop toilets which were in good condition. Also has sink for washing up and drinkable water on-site.

Free car park close to the centre of Wellington.
You can stay for 4 nights in a given calendar month and can stay in all the spaces to the right of the entrance. We stayed for 4 nights and it felt safe.
Clean toilets with flushing toilets and dump station in the main marina car park.
We went to the nearby rec centre and didn’t have to pay to use their showers.
Can get quite windy but that’s Wellington.

$20 for 2 people, nice spot by the water.
Had clean flushing toilets and a washing up sink.
Be wary if staying after it has rained a lot… we arrived in the dark and got stuck in the mud. Luckily some nearby campers helped us out and we survive to tell the tale. Parked close to the gravel track after that which was fine.

Nice holiday park with all you would expect.
Showers were button press for 5 minutes and toilets were clean.
$10 booking fee is very cheeky.

Gravelly car park which was good for our campervan, also looked like it had a grassy spot for tents.
Flushing toilets which were pretty clean and drinkable water. Also had sinks for washing up which was nice.
We did the Hooker valley track and Sealy tarns from here, would recommend.

Called up before and were told we could check around 8 no problem, just paid at the adjoins restaurant/bar.
Pretty good site, main positive was it being cheap ($25 for powered site for 2). Kitchen was decent as well.
Showers were free but not in the best state and a real pain to get to the right temperature.
