Bike D'vine Winery & Sightseeing Tours
A great day - good bikes, lovely couple running the business, and liked the idea of the map velcro-ed onto the bike frame.
Did get seriously lost though and only managed to visit 2 wineries and the cider house in the whole day. Would like to go back and try not to get lost next time!

Great wineries nearby and excellent to visit by bike.
Excellent packed lunch provided to soak up the wine.
Bikes not very well maintained, however.
Asked on the telephone whether they would provide a pick-up and drop off service so that we could taste wine without worrying about having to drive back to Havelock North and was given a lecture - "this is wine tasting not wine drinking" (to me this is the same thing as it is especially difficult to judge measures/ quantities when tasting). A simple no would've sufficed...
All in all a good experience & worth doing.

The Roadcat shuttle did not turn up to collect us, although I had received written confirmation that this had been booked.
We got through to Arrivals in Auckland International Airport at 1am after a long journey to find that there was no transport waiting for us.
On calling the contact telephone number included in e-mail I received from Roadcat, I received no apology/ assistance and was in fact accused of not making the booking correctly.
We were left with no option but to organise last-minute (and expensive) accommodation near the airport and take a combination of 2 buses and a taxi to our home in Hamilton the following day. This was very stressful and inconvenient, not to mention expensive.
I understand that Roadcat may have been busy and understaffed over the Christmas period, but if they were unable to provide the transport they should have let us know so that we could have made alternative arrangements in advance. Instead, we had a stressful end to our holiday which was a real shame.
On our return I followed up with an email to Roadcat stating the inconvenience they had caused us and received a reply saying that they would look into this. Four months on, we have not received any response or apology from Roadcat.
Unreliable company & poor customer service - would not use again.

Fantastic.
Friendly communication with organisers. Excellent guide. Great way to see the carvings. Only criticism would be that we were put in a large group and spent a lot of time waiting for those at the back to catch up (even though we were first-time kayakers too). Would definitely recommend Wilderness Escapes.

Great - friendly, reassuring guides, excellent experience.
A little pricey, but as are all of these types of activities in NZ.
