A beautifully kept site on the edge of town.
The Only noise was from the Tui and Bell birds. The facilities were scrupulously clean, pretty flower arrangements throughout. A lovely stay at the start of the Catlins. The owners friendly and welcoming. Our second visit, the previous one being in 2020 on our last visit to NZ.

This was the second time we rented from camperco. We came back to them beacause of our great experience the first time and we wern't disappointed.
We hired a Mercedes Sprinter Nomad for 7 weeks on South and North island.
Camperco do not badge up their vans with advertising logos so you don't feel like you are a driving billboard.
There is no hard sell of extra insurance like the big companies give you when you pick up the vehicle. Its all up front. And there is an upper limit to the premium, so for a seven week trip, this was way cheaper than others with full cover including excess. There is no restriction for gravel roads as most of the big companies have ( Skippers Canyon and 90 Mile Beach are the only restrictions, from memory)
The van performed well and was great to drive and had everything you need on board (great selection of sharp knives).
We had a minor problem with a warning light that turned out to be a false alarm, this was sorted by Ross for us with a quick visit to a garage close to where we were , so it did not impact on our plans at all.
All in all a great service, Ross was a pleasure to deal with from start to finish.
We would definately rent from them again and would recomend them without hesitation.

We chose Camperco because they were not a huge corporate company where on previous occasions we experienced hidden costs(camp chairs & tables etc) particularly with very expensive excess insurance
eg we had already bought our own excess insurance but were given the hard sell to buy theirs as well.
Camperco offer a very good value excess insurance, particularly if the hire is for a long period of time .
We wanted cover that included driving on unsurfaced roads which very few companies allow, Camperco do this . Their vans do not have their logo painted on it so you are not a advertising board all the time. This also means that you get more respect from other drivers as they assume that you are a Kiwi.
The van was well equipped, and in generally good condition. We did experience a couple of minor problems, but these were sorted in super swift time, with minimal disruption to our holiday. Ross dealt with our queries quickly and was very helpful. All in all a great experience, and we have no hesitation in recomending them.
