  • This is a good parking spot in the outskirts of Tauranga.

There are loos and a water fountain and it’s set in a nice little park and near to a nice walk around the marsh. The sign says that there is space for 8 vehicles but it is just one large box which is dedicated to campers so it can be a bit of Tetris to get everyone to fit. You could easily fit 6 vehicles for sure but 8 might be a bit of a squeeze! Everyone was very happy to move around though to make space for new comers. There was also one van which parked outside of the box who didn’t seem to get in trouble when the council came round to close the toilets at night.

  • Nice and quiet parking spot with views of beautiful houses on top of a hill.

Big grass field where the locals play softball, fun to watch. Way less windy than the freedom spot near the beach and clean toilets.

  • Ok for an overnight stop in a car park in a sports ground.

Not much space and there were 2 big RVs but the other vans shuffled round to squeeze everyone in. Clean toilets.

  • Limited space in Freedom camping zone as large caravan taking up a slot.

It wasn't used the night I was there. About four spaces in total I'd guess. Someone parked elsewhere in the car park overnight and as the park wasn't busy I'd guess I'd do the same if there was no room at the inn. Peaceful apart from the trains but there was only 2 or 3 rumbles that I can remember. I'm a light sleeper and the trains were no worse that the odd traffic noise. Nice clean toilet. If it was locked overnight, I didn't notice.

  • Super Parkplatz mit Platz für 8 kleinere oder 4 große Camper.

Die Toiletten werden um 9 pm geschlossen, aber eine Toilette ist immer offen.

Der Camperparkplatz ist direkt beim Klo.

  • Great spot, gates close 9pm daylight savings and 8pm rest of time.

Only 1 toilet is open others are locked. Plenty of room. Busy park which is used well by the public so lots to see. Trains can be a little noisy but not many later at night so not really a worry and not really close.

  • Places for 8 campervans.

Was really busy on a Saturday due to sport games but when all those cars left we were the only ones there all night. Toilets and water very close. Considering all the other spots in Tauranga fill up quick this was a good spot
