The price and the location was really good but the hooks they provided were blunt and so you need a lot of luck to catch a lot of prawns.

You can catch prawns and eat them there. It is nice but a bit expensive ($28).

Guided tour through the Prawn Park, prawn fishing the entire day. Provided cooking facilities for the prawns you catch. Friendly staff :-)

Maybe the best thing I've ever done. I loved battling it out with the prawns. Definitely takes some skill/patience. Remember to walk them around a bit before you bring em in. Good luck!

Had poor luck fishing - short interesting tour, nice grounds, supply bait poles, shade by umbrellas, food looks good, heard great fishing at times.

Informative tour but the prawn fishing was the best bit. Patience required!! Great restaurant too.

We visited the funtastic Prawn Park on Saturday July 9th.
IWe had an outstanding experience while we were there, all six hours of it.
From the reception desk where we met Marwin (I think that is the correct spelling) to the staff at the fishing hut the service we encountered was exceptional.Marwin is the perfect person for the reception area, with his huge welcoming smile and broad knowledge of the workings of the prawn farm. The tour he conducted was fun, informative and we felt that no question we asked was too silly. The fishing hut staff were helpful, even walking around in the rain to see how we were going, giving us more bait, suggesting different techniques, and icing our meagre catch. The restaurant staff were also helpful offering us different options for cooking our catch. Unfortunately time nor budget allowed us to enjoy their menu, other than the perfectly cooked hot chips, nicely presented in a tray for takeaway, with sauce AND aioli at no extra cost. Cooked quickly and delivered with a smile. Most impressive service and quite possibly the best chips we have had.
The Gauntlet, The Bush Walk, Water Bikes, Playground and Treasure Hunt were also fun, for us and the kids.
All in all it was a great day, the kids loved it, good value for money (even without the Grab One half price Voucher) and your overall customer service was phenomenal. We will be recommending this experience to anybody who is willing to listen.
Thanks again

A neat experience, but too expensive unless you just really enjoy fishing, have too much money to blow, or want to pay someone to let you chill by a pond for the day.
If you want the prawns, just buy them from the front desk and do the tour.
Huka Prawn Park responds:
