Tunnel Point Campground

Basic campsite located by an old logging tramway tunnel south of Karekare.

Closest access is from the main car park at Karekare. Walk around Karekare point at low to mid tide only. Then walk along Whatipu Beach south and head inland at Tunnel Point. Follow the track along the edge of the swamp, near the cliffs then follow the Pararaha Valley Track to the campsite.
