2 Thermal Pools
1 Waiotapu
Turn off the State Highway at Wai-o-Tapu and directly beneath the bridge are free hot pools. These are formed by a stream that happens to be a perfect hot pool temperature.

Really relaxing warm water to relax in after a long hike. You do not see springs like these anywhere else.

Dirty, rubbish and beer bottles on the side. River was very muddy and not clear. It also smelt. Dipped my toes in and it was warm but wasn't tempted to swim.

Nice but very crowded. You should come here early like for Kerosene Creek ;)

DO NOT MISS THIS! It was hands down my favourite experience, swimming in the hot and cold creek, rubbing our Rotorua mud all over my body, my skin was so smooth all over!

We were sitting in the hot river with a waterfall while it was raining on us. It was the best feeling in New Zealand so far!

You can swim in the hot water with cold stream from the river. Use mud for your body. Good bath!

Directly located under a bridge is a hot stream that meets a cold river. There are separate ways to get into the water. Be careful: at the top it is really hot!

If you go just beyond the Wai-O-Tapu entrance there is a hot stream meeting a cold one under a bridge, you cannot miss it. It is a great place for a little dip.
