Great place, surrounded by sheep and cows, lots of space and clean facilities. Very quiet in the night and for all this just 10$/pp plus a very friendly owner! We loved it!

Initially we thought this was a 10 out of 10. It was only 10pp for the night, had all the facilities we needed including a 2 dollar shower, accepted EFTPOS, had limited free WiFi and was well maintained. Unfortunately just after checking in we heard someone in the office (either a customer or the owner) scream at someone "DONT TELL ME TO LISTEN YOU F**"ING N***ER". We were so shocked by the profanity and racism that it completely tainted our experience.

Lots of open space for parking. $10pp. Bathrooms, paid showers and communal kitchen. No stoves or fridges. It was neat being on farmland though and being near cows and sheep. Friendly place.
I got 2 internet coupons I didn't use (and payed for them!):
Host said that the deal from campermate didn't include internet.
We ended up paying normal price but was not the best option.
Kitchen has only microwave, no gas stove.
You MUST leave at 10am, no way I stay longer.
Drinking water next to the office, not in the kitchen.
Since we couldn’t find anywhere to freedom camp in the area, this was the next best as it was cheap ($10pp). The owner was friendly and there was plenty of room for tents and camper vans. The toilets were basic and clean. It was a great location to explore the Catlins.
Great welcome, nicely set up, really flat spots, nice kitchen area to cook and wash up if needed. 10$pp. Showers 2$ for 5mins, hot and powerful enough. Good laundry wash and dry service for 8$ ready for us when we woke up. Sheep, lambs and cows to make friends with. Perfect stay with the facilities we needed! Highly recommended.
Great spot and a great host. $10 per person to camp isn't necessarily cheap considering the area, however this is a family run typr of place and is incredibly well taken care of. Kevin is a lovely host and for $10 per person you get 400mb of wifi, free power in the kitchen area, toilets, rubbish bins, and access to $2 hot showers. All of this on top of beautifully maintained grass in a lovely farmland setting.
Once again, can't thank Kevin enough. He was even kind enough to recommend a local used tire shop in nearby balclutha for one of our group members with bald tires, unfortunately they were closed when we passed through but still above and beyond for the recommendation!
Highly recommended stay!
Quite expensive for an unpowered site! Only two powered sites available.
