Lovely place!
Host was very kind and facilities are outstanding. When you are lucky, you will get amazing sunsets which you can enjoy from the back of your van or on the beach. Definitely recommend going here.

Stayed here for a night in my van while touring the South Island.
Was made to feel very welcome and at home by the cleaners and owners. The location is great by the beach and the facilities are excellent, including the jacuzzi. It's been my favourite campsite over the whole South Island - I will definitely be back!

Very nice camp site next to a beautiful beach.
Special thanks to the hosts at the camp, Eddie and a nice lady(sorry I forgot your name:) ). My car had a breakdown at the camp and they personally took lots of time and effort to helped me to get a mechanic guy to fix it. Lifetime memory

Unbelievable stay at Ross.
We gave up our powered site to camp right on the beach and had the best view of the ocean all night. I loved every moment of beach exploring we did, and then had an amazing sunset to top it off. Also enjoyed the little town and dinner at the pub. Quite a nice surprise. We’ll take this memory home as one of our most favorite Holiday Parks we stayed in (we circled the entire southern island, y’all!!). Cheers.

Looked appealing on the app, was Charged $80 for 1 adult and 2 children in a van.
Still needed to hire and pay for showers and sport equipment (most of which for the kids was broken) not ideal for young children as no playground. If you can avoid and drive on to alternative spot.

Over priced, no nice view where the campers park, we would have had a better view in the reception car park.
Nothing for kids to do. Guy charged us $60 then woman came and charged us another $40 so $110 for one night is soo over priced. Lazy service. Don’t recommend.

Best spots are the non powered on the beach front which we got. The facilities are good and there is a tv room. Could see how if it was busy it might have a different feeling but we loved our stay.

Pricey at $65 for a night on a non-powered campervan site, but...they are right on the beach, and the non-powered sites are directly facing the beach, so that was fantastic.
Facilities are decent but limited, the site was rather empty when we were there but the kitchen and toilets\showers were full. I cant imagine that they'd cope if the site was actually full of campers.

Hi Kerry, thanks for your review, we appreciate all feedback. As you say our facilities are busy, we had almost 70 guests that night, and we do have plans to expand them over winter. The price of $65 was for a family of 4 - absolute beachfront.
Hope you enjoy the rest of your NZ travels.

This place is right on the beach and looks to be quite new.
Well set up with grown flax creating hedges here and there so that it’s sheltered and more private. Most of the buildings are created from shipping containers which was quite cool. Best shower I’ve had so far on our 3 week trip - free, not timed, hot and great pressure although it can get a bit steamy in there despite the fan! Kitchen is fully equipped and you don’t need to rent anything to use cooking implements. They also have a pizza oven. Very short drive/ cycle into Ross town.
