River Valley Rafting
The Rangitikei, a classic New Zealand rafting river. Class 2-5, a variety of different rafting adventures suitable for most ages and abilities. Beautiful scenery, steep technical rapids surrounded by native forest and awe inspiring cliffs.
River Valley is a place that is our home, where we have put down deep roots. It is a place where we feel that the spirit in which we do something, is an essential part of any experience.
We actively search for ways in which we can offer you, our guests, experiences that are more meaningful and personal. Experiences that are creative, where you feel uplifted, where we can share our stories, and you can share yours.
Yes, we go rafting, horse back riding, inflatable kayaking, and hiking, but what is adventure without living the emotion of every moment!

What an adventure!
Grade 5 river rafting with really nice guides who explained a lot, not only about the rafting itself. I would do it again! It was totally worth it and so much fun! I felt safe the entire time.

The lodge location is stunning, the guides (Tom and Derek) were fun but professional. The rafting was just fantastic - the Rangitieki and surrounds are spectacular and the rapids were great fun. Friendly vibe and great food!

The scenery was absolutely beautiful, the guides were very friendly and knowledgeable, and the rapids were a lot of fun!
The entire experience, from the lodge to the water, was well worth the money! I would recommend this to anyone and everyone!

Of a four week adventure in New Zealand hunting down the best addrenalin rush I could find - no experience was better than a night at River Valley Lodge followed by rafting the next morning.
The crew & staff were of the most memorable and enjoyable that my group of fellow travelers got to encounter.
I will never forget it!

This was one of my most exhilarating experiences whilst in NZ.
The countryside was amazing, the rafting a challenge (Grade 5 technical rapids), our guides were fantastic and even thought to call ahead to the lodge so that they could get the old wood fired sauna heated up! The best WWR trip I've been on. And if you stay the night at the lodge, make sure you get the hearty roast meal to finish off an awesome day. Fantastic from start to finish!

Very cool trip, gorgeous scenery.
No rapids as gnarly as the 7M drop in Rotorua, but probably more fun overall. Included some cliff jumping. You finish right outside the River Valley lodge, very convenient. One of the highlights of NZ.

The scenic rafting trip on the Rangitikei River is very special for persons who are a little bit older.

Overrated.
Recommended as the best place to raft by Kiwi Experience but I expected much more. Water levels were low and we weren't warned beforehand that it would be less intense. Have done much more exciting ones in Oz. Guides were sound though.

It was really good but a bit tame for a grade 5 river.
If valued at $100 then I would have been more impressed.
