It was a great time we spent with our Campervan from Banz Tours. Perfect personal service from Kurt (take over and via WhatsApp on tour) and Graham (give back), old but reliable car, all equipment and all insurance included.

It was the second time we booked a campervan from Kurt and Yvonne and we were very happy with this choice - everything was just perfect and we didn't miss anything! We had a great time in NZ, the campervan was fully renovated and very comfortable, especially the huge bed! Thank you very much for all your help (our suitcases didn't arrive with our airplane so we had to organize the first night without them and Kurt was a big help) and hope to see you another time! Myself, along with my wife and 7 month old daughter rented a Toyota Hiace from Kurt (BANZ) for a little under 40 days, starting in October 2017. Our experience dealing with Kurt, from the beginning to the end of our vacation, was exceptional. I had spent nearly 30hr enquiring with EVERY camper hire company I was able before coming across BANZ. Immediately Kurt went out of his way to accommodate all of our travel requirements (Car seats/pickup & drop-off from airport) as well the specific floorpan we were hoping for. The prices I found to be very competitive, the owners are beauties, and the vehicle was clean, classy and completely reliable. I have and will continue to recommend BANZ for anyone thinking of seeing NZ from a rental. Do yourself a favour and give these guys a shout.

This spring we rented a campervan at Banz and had it for 28 days.
It was a Toyota with a fridge and even a pump to run the tap. All windows hat a mosquito net.We met other campers and compared prices.
The price compared to the service we got was the best compared to others who even had the big brands.
A very reliable van. We didn't had any issue.

We (CH couple, late 20s) rented a Toyota Hiace Hi Top (2berth) from Dec 2016 to Apr 2017. We had contacted BANZ regarding buying a vehicle (with buy-back guarantee). However, there were no such vehicles available. instead they offered us a good long-term rental rate which we accepted as a not-so-cheap-but-definitely-hassle-free option.
When we arrived at AKL on a Saturday morning, Kurt was waiting to pick us up and drive us to Waiuku (we also got dropped off at AKL in the end). There the campervan was waiting for us, ready to go. The vehicle was in great condition (despite being a few years old), very well equipped (cooking utensils, table, chairs, bedding, towels and a road atlas) and we spent many carefree days exploring NZ. The the campervan was fully self-contained (free overnight stays where SCC is allowed), we had unlimited kilometres available and we were even allowed to drive on gravel roads - no worries.
During our 5 months in NZ we needed to do several repairs (replacing the windscreen after damage caused by a pebble, replacing the valve of the water tank after it broke off on a bumpy road and replacing the alternator after it broke down). In each of these instances we could get hold of Kurt immediately and he advised us what to do and where to go to get it fixed. We never had to go for the "cheap but slow" repairs but could always go for the fast option, i.e. replacement of parts thus not losing too much of our precious holiday time. Mostly, Kurt managed to sort out payment directly with the mechanics and where this was not possible, we paid for it and got reimbursed when we returned thevehicle. So in the end it was not just the easiest option but also the cheapest.
So would we recommend them? YES! The rental conditions were very competitive, the vehicles well maintained and equipped and Kurt is a lovely persperson, easy to deal with and very reliable. It felt more like borrowing a friend’s car than dealing with a rental company. Merci für Alles Kurt!

We rented a Toyota Hiace camper-van for two persons and two month (December 2015/January 2016). We were picked up by a driver from our hotel, who brought us afterwards to Kurt to get our car. The camper-van was well maintained and contained all necessary things for living on wheels (fridge, sink, bed ect.). During two month driving and travelling over 7000 kilometres, we did not have any problems with the car, although it was an old car. Kurt himself was always available in case of emergency or any questions. Before we started our trip, we compared a lot of other offers from different providers, but Kurt's offer was the best considering the price/performance ratio. If we would go to New Zealand again, we would rent the car from Kurt again. Thanks again a lot and best regrads,
