My husband and I needed to stay a night at a campground because the weather at Nevis valley wasn’t suitable.
We rang and got a spot at this campsite. Hot showers, woman’s and men’s loos and a communal kitchen. Hot water and drinking water as well. The manager onsite is super friendly and it was perfect for what we needed. Rooftop tent friendly and even woke up to a couple of bunnies running around. Really wholesome place and perfect if you need a night to stay.

Great place to stop on the way to and from Milford Sound.
We loved it so much we came back for a second night (after one night in Fjordland NP). Easy check-in (cash required), HOT showers, very clean toilets, spacious grassy sites, well supplied kitchen room. And the owner, Trudy, is super friendly and welcoming. All for $35, 2 people with power. Highly recommend!

This is a great camp, park like setting with good showers, kitchen.
The charges are very reasonable, but if you want the flash stuff in Te Anau, pay $60 plus and get a comparable shower, stay, go West Travellers, and get ripped off at Lake View, Tasman and Top 10 in Te Anau.

Spacious, peaceful.
Hidden gem with sufficient facilities for a pleasant stay at affordable price. Would visit again in preference to other sites in the area.

On a hot afternoon we decided against freedom camping on asphalt in the middle of town and instead paid $30 to park up here under a shady oak in the middle of a lush grassy field.
Unpowered but with our own tap, we could have had one of the powered spots around the perimeter for just $5 more.
Facilitied are basic but adequate and clean. Friendly laid-back lady in charge. A good overnight spot between Milford and the Catlins.

Will always be one of our favs of our trip as it started snowing just as we arrived.
From Queensland, Australia so hadn’t seen snow falling before. Anyway, huge grassed area with power (if you choose). $12 pp +$5 for power. No one there so we called the phone number provided in office and the lady told us to leave money in honour box which we did. She also gave us code which you need to use showers. Great place to stay on road to Te Anau.

Nice camping ground.
Good facilities like a oven, toaster and microwave. Hot shower. Not so busy only a couple of tents. Close to the road so you will hear the cars passing by. Since December you pay $12 instead of $10.

Fairly calm and good facilities (hot shower, stove, microwave, ...).
Price per person is now at $12, but is still worth it if you need to stop for the night. Especially on the way to Milford Sound, there won't be any cheaper sites.

On my way through NZ heading to Bluff and Stewart Island.
Bit tired saw the sign and pulled in. All necessary facilities present (Toilets, shower, kitchen, laundry, power) quiet clean and welcoming. $10 per person per night and $5 for power. Lady in charge is at hand if needed otherwise busy cleaning and running the place. Half the price of some places, but just as good.

We decided to stay at the campground rather than the nearby free camping spot and we‘re incredibly glad that we did.
We loved the campsite and had a wonderful stay!
The owner was friendly and helpful and not at all bothersome, but always around to answer questions etc.
For three people and electricity we paid $35, which is a very good deal. The facilities were rustic, but very clean and the showers nice and hot. The whole place really had character and we appreciated how it was made up and maintained.
In the morning the owner gave us food to feed the alpacas living right next to the campsite. Waking up and looking at alpacas and sheep from out of the window was such a peaceful experience! The sheep were really friendly and you could get up close and pet them - so we totally recommend visiting the campsite with children as well.
Overall a wonderful experience!

This is a quiet green serviced campground.
Friendly bloke, Ian greeted us on arrival and made us feel welcome. Clean kitchen with stove, toaster and other gear. The bathrooms are rustic and very clean. Powered sites and mobile service. Suited us very well as we wanted the luxuries of power and water.
