Nice motor camp in Duntroon easy walk to town and wetlands walk .At $10 it's the cheapest place I have stayed in NZ outside of a doc campground.Has a lounge and kitchen area with sofas to recharge
your devices .Or watch movies I used my portable DVD player as no wifi.Great place and quiet at night .has a full time manager on site Who gives you code to door of lounge area . Elephant rocks is near by and alot of scenic limestone formations and fossil museum in town but $20 to enter I stayed for 3 days and will return in the future .Has nice hot showers included in $10 nightly fee one of my new favorite places in NZ now

Nice grassed area.
Cheap at only $20 for the 2 of us plus $5 for power. The toilets are clean and the kitchen looked we'll set up (we didn't use it though). The showers are average as you need to make sure nobody else is showering or using water as there is no water pressure and it drips out. Other than the issue with the water it's a great place. Nice little town.

Basic camp ground, with kitchen , HOT shower for free(just be mindfully and don't waste water) and kitchen with fridge, all Very clean!
10$ per person is an amazing price to pay for that!

Lovely peaceful campground.
You don't need to go to the pub for keys anymore, there are self check in instructions at the campsite. $10 pp, clean toilets, hot showers and a kitchen area. If you are there on a Monday or tuesday would highly recommend going to duntroon Hotel for dinner - delicious Thai food!

Grounds keeper was awesome to deal with, can pay at site via bank transfer.
Very cheap for what you get, power being an extra $5 cant go wrong

Great basic traditional kiwi camp site.
Old sports field turned into camp ground. Big open area to camp in, around 6 powered sites (additional charge).
Showers good and hot, (best female one closest to outside wall) kitchen has all you need too.

Perfect for the price.
Had lots of ammenities, more than I needed.
Had trouble with the door code but I’m going to put that down to the several pints I had at the local tavern.

We love it here & have been coming on & off for years.
It's basic but it's clean & tidy and its cheap ($25 for 2 people powered per night). In all the years we've been coming here we've never had a complaint. We will keep coming back!

Wow! We thought $10 per person seemed expensive but not once we realized all the amenities included.
There is a fully equipped kitchen (oven, toaster, kettles, pots and pans, plates, etc.), Hot showers, clothes washing machines, and flush toilets. Also a little living room with couch and tv.

On site caretaker.
$20 for 2 people for an unpowered site, including use of toilet, shower and kitchen facilities. We didn't use facilities so can't comment. $5 extra if you wanted power. Nice grounds, simple but had everything you need.

Spacious campsite (or field with trees) to pitch my tent in for $10 a night, but to use facilities was an additional $7.
The only thing is, staying at an unsupervised campsite means anyone can turn up, and they did! we had someone racing around on a go-kart until 9pm at night. Very inconsiderate. But, still a good spot if you need to camp for the night.

This one was a real miss.
the price ( 12 dollarsp.p.) is just too much for what you get. unless you have to , don't stay there. old, not really clean
