The Holiday park is terraced to make the most of the fantastic views – listen to the sound of the waves and the birds sing.
Waipatiki Beach Holiday Park is situated 30 min north of Napier 12kms off SH2 Napier Wairoa Road (take Tangoio Road turnoff). The holiday park is accessed through a farm with good access for large vehicles and overlooks Waipatiki Beach – a golden sandy beach just 300m away.
The park is terraced to make the most of the beautiful views.
The sandy beach offers swimming, surfing, fishing, diving with the fresh water stream being popular with younger children. Small boats can be launched from beach. The many coastal and bush walks are well worth exploring with kahikatea trees, nikau palms and a redwood forest. There are many additional walks and cycleways nearby. Enjoy the numerous beautiful native birds including tui, kereru and bellbirds.
Your horse can be accommodated by arrangement. We do not allow dogs at the park so please make alternative arrangements for them.
Waipatiki Beach Holiday Park is a beautiful holiday destination; school camp site or a unique venue for your wedding.
There is something for everyone at Waipatiki Beach Holiday Park.

What a beautiful little spot!
We enjoyed the Waipatiki scenic reserve hike and the lookout hike nearby.
Unfortunately we didn't have the best weather when we visited, so our beach day didn't happen.
This campsite had a wedding the day before we arrived, so we didn't meet the owners, but we appreciated them letting us stay straight after such a big event!
The showers and toilets were clean.
And they have a little shop on-site, where you can buy drinks, treats and useful camping items.

Fabulous family run campsite with an almost private golden sand beach.
Booked for 2 nights and extended to 4.
If you're in the area, definitely stop by!!!

We spent 2 nights at the park in our rental Maui Motorhome. The hosts / owners Shane and Fay were polite, friendly and helpful. The park was basically empty during our stay - one campervan joined us for the first night but we were on our own during the next day and night. The kitchen and family bathroom was available for us to use. It was tidy and clean. The barbecue area and gas barbecue needed cleaning - I assumed nobody used it during the past month or two. We enjoyed the peaceful site and the views from our motorhome. We went for long walks in the forest and enjoyed sunset and sunrise at the beach. Will visit again

Waipatiki Beach Holiday Park is a must stop if you are passing through the area. The cabins are cozy and have everything you need for a comfortable stay, with fabulous views. The beach is just beautiful, there's lots of walking tracks and Napier is a short drive away. It's a peaceful spot and the campground is clean and tidy. Shane, Faye and their family are wonderful hosts.

We checked in with the owners daughter who we think was too young to be left in charge because she was unable to give us relevant information. Eg where to fill our water tank, how to get to the beach. A storm had heaped up sand so the river was backed up making it difficult to get to the beach.
The site facilities were great and very clean. The owner was extremely helpful when we had major problems with our camper van letting me use his phone to seek help. Also he helped us to temporarily repair the van so we could take it to a garage for a permanent repair. We were impressed with his attitude and skills.

At the end of a steep road but right on the beach, typical kiwi site with good basic facilities. Beach beautiful.

A small hidden paradise. Beautiful ride into the Bay. Warm welcome by the new owners who started to upgrade the campground. Warm showers and clean kitchen area. Beautiful white sandy beach. Nice lay-out of the campground and spacious powered lots with nice sea view.
Real value for money at only $13 per person for a powered lot.
Super quiet.

We’ve stayed here in December 2017, just before the holidays starts so it wasn’t busy. Beautiful place next to the beach. Friendly staff. Nice pitches with oceanview. The showers and toilets needs renovation. It wasn’t very clean but that won’t hold us going back sometime. We travelled with a self contained camper.

Let down by the scruffy and unkempt gents facilities -peeling paint and cobwebs...the ladies were spotless!! Location 10/10 and all sites have a beach view. Access to beach via a wade across river or pontoon. Sandy beach probably not safe for swimming - some big waves!! Friendly reception. Very quiet, just the sound of the waves....

Beautiful spot in a remote setting. I am not sure if the facilities had been cleaned for a very long time though.... Even I wanted to get the water-blaster out and give the bathrooms a good scrub. The BBQ's had also seen better days. The cabins looked good though, so maybe that would be the way forward as opposed to camping? Cool walks nearby around the cliffs and through the forest.
