I went on a kayak fishing trip with canoe and kayak Bay of Plenty.
The trip started by meeting at their base at 0750. They were very helpful and flexible about meeting times and venues. Transport to the kayaking location was provided. The guide (Dan) gave an excellent and comprehensive briefing and gave very good instruction on kayaking and fishing. Despite being a novice at both kayaking and fishing plenty of fish were caught. Dan gutted the fish so that they were ready for me to cook when I got back home. The trip was hugely enjoyable. Not only did I see lots of local wildlife (stingrays and penguins) and landmarks, I also learnt a huge amount about kayaking and fishing and got plenty of fish in the process. The trip was easily the best one that I have done whilst in New Zealand and I would recommend it to anyone.

TOTALLY AWESOME Glow worms were fantastic. Guides Kate and Time were fantastic. Whole family had a great night. Grandson (8yrs) wants to know when he can do it again. 3 generations of our family enjoyed it and we would all recommend it to others. The totally magical NZ experience that should not be missed. Thanks again for a fantastic evening. Barbara, Lee & family
We had the best time, Dan was a fantastic guide. The glow worms were spectacular. No experience necessary for kayaking! We would recommend this to anyone travelling to the Bay of Plenty. Value for money with pick up/drop off facilities and a nice hot cup of milo and chocolate at the end!!!
An excellent evening spent at McLaren Falls on the glow worm tour. Estelle, Dave and their team were faultless. Great company and bags of enthusiasm. The glow worms were awesome too! Would definitely recommend this trip to others.
