Loved the relaxed atmosphere here!
Acres of open areas for tents and non-powered vehicles. The kitchen & bathrooms have music playing which was a nice surprise. Filtered water taps available in the kitchens, free hot showers, 3 coin operated washing machines and dryers available. Big paddock next to the camp for our dog to run around which was great!

Great spot, with friendly staff and clean facilities.
Quite a few long time campers there, which means the camp ground has a community feel, with lots of quirky camping setups and mini gardens to check out

Although the showers are a little outdated and need redoing, this place was great.
We ended up getting there after the office was closed, and they were sooo great in leaving our directions and instructions for us when we arrived. I’d stay there again!

This campground has a large permanent residence population.
Must be a full out of covid. The washing machines were always in use. The kitchen cookers need upgrading. The other facilities are old but in good working order. Pretty cheap to stay. The grounds are in good condition. Lots of good places to camp.

This campsite has the atmosphere of a post war Soviet military base that was abandoned 60 years ago.
Don't let the nice pictures fool you. While the facilities are clean they still feel disgusting.
The dump station has one hose that people use to clean their toilets and fill they water tanks with water that is supposed to come from the ground untreated.
There are also almost no signs that show you your way trough a maze of extremely strange permanent residents to one of the few parking spots for vacation customers. And it's not even cheaper than all the beautiful sites we have been at. Worst campground so far.

$15 per person for unpowered site.
Great little campground, kitchen is well stocked with utensils, and showers don't cost extra. Washing machines are coin operated.

Amazing price, hot showers, a TV room, wee playground and flying fox, kitchen, washing and drying facility.
Out dated but did the job. Found most of the people we talked to were long stay residents. Only 5 minutes from the town center but when you are paying half the price per night than the other places in the area it was perfect for us.

It is quite a simple campground, but still really nice.
I stayed here twice (before and after visiting Stewart island)
Strong, hot and free showers, a big and alright equiped kitchen, 500mb of free wifi ( only issue it doesn't work really well), a big area for tents and vehicles (non powered).
Very friendly and helpful owners/ staff.
I had some struggles with my car and they were a great help, they gave me a lift to a garage and even provided me with a bike, so I could drive into town etc
Overall good experience and would always come back.

Beautiful site.
Very friendly staff; my partner needed a shed to fix our trailer after it got damaged on our way down here and the owner let us use their shed. They have permanent residents onsite and their pricing is very affordable. I love how their layout of the kitchen, laundry and showers/toilets all being in the same area, saves having to travel to multiple areas of the camp to use them. They also have a dump station which many camps don't have. Definitely recommend and will gladly stay again should the need arise.

The check in was friendly.
The Cabbage Tree restaurant next door was nice. There are a lot of permanent residents who seem friendly enough but this means we didn’t get to use the washing machines or dryers because they had piles and piles of clothes, bedding etc that they were washing and drying. I even got up early to use them but they were still being used. In the morning we went to have breakfast in the kitchen. The permanent residents were using the kitchen as their hang out, none of them were eating or anything just being loud and obnoxious. Felt very uncomfortable so just went back to the van and left ASAP. Won’t be back.

Basic property here in West Invercargill.
Nice, friendly reception. We had a site close to the facilities. Kitchen and community room is shared with the permanent residents. Kitchen hobs didn't heat too well. Didn't feel too comfortable, so we stayed the night and left as soon as we could next morning. On a positive note, check out Industry cafe - great, off the beaten path location. Have brekkie with the tradies. Great food and coffee.

Very friendly staff. Big and clean bathroom and kitchen facilities. It is not a Top 10 campsite but very well maintained and presentable. Won’t mind camping there again while exploring Invercargill or on the road touring further up the South Island.

Quite boring camp site.
Facilities was quite old but at least we got warm showers and a powered site for $75 (4 adults and 2 children). Close-ish (1-2km) to the ocean beach and the nearby river. The kids enjoyed the playground with the flying fox! Really friendly owners!
