We stayed here for two nights with our family campervan during our 9 week NZ trip.
The park is great, very friendly staff and owner, clean facilities, spacious, and the kids (2 and 4) loved the playground and jumping pillow. The parents were very fond of the barista coffee at the reception.
Our experience was a little negatively impacted by a) a large group of girls from a Wellington rowing club that practically took over the kitchen, jumping pillow and communal area and made a lot of noise til about 8 pm, and b) the day after two families that got together and were very loud (basically shouting) on the outside porch of the communal area til 9:30 pm and kept talking loudly til around midnight. It was a little short night as our kids wake up at 6:30. The communal area is located just next to the motorhome and caravan site area. It was spring (?) holidays.

Good location beside the river, though a fair way out of town.
Van sites by the river rather cramped. Good facilities. But our visit was spoiled because they had a large youth group (rowers?), who monopolised the kitchens and the social areas

Hi Folks,
The campground is very spacious and the heated pool was just awesome with the slide. We had also the chance to rent the kidscar and the BBQ was just great. If I remember correctly this was with real fire. The facilities were good and clean. It was a very good experience, as expected by a Top Ten.

A great place to stay with children or not.
We came here after our children selected this spot using the Rankers app. Best decision we ever made in New Zealand. The owner was extremely outgoing and kind, not to mention helpful, we met this random stranger who sent us the right way for warm showers, she used kind phrasing. Even the cleaner was nice! (She looked like the winter had left her very unhappy) very clean, they even have a free to play Xbox. I really could not ask for anything more than this. Don't miss it.

I really enjoyed my stay at the TOP10 Park in Wanganui.
I stayed in a self-contained unit with a friend of mine and we had a lot of fun - especially in the heated pool and on the kayak trip the park also offers. The friendly staff was very helpful with planning our day in the Wanganui region. The park and its facilities are very clean and the river flowing directly next to it with the old paddle steamer made the stay really nice for us - If I ever come to New Zealand and Wanganui again I will stay there again :)
