We were lucky and came here during bad weather + off season and so got a very good deal on the price, and a good spot for our van too.
The staff here was very friendly and helpful.
Facilities are a little basic, but everything is functional and clean. Showers are 50c for 5 minutes, laundry is $8 total (wash and dry).
It can be a bit noisy being right by a busy road, but the security helped us feel safe. There's a very nice pub just across the road with a wide range of beers and food.

Nicely located beside the ocean walkway.
Very crowded and noisy with the train and road noise. Ok for an overnight and lots of room for vehicles.

Really friendly in Reception and you may meet a lovely dog.
Little bit of a hike into Napier if you walk but not too far. 50p for the showers is a bit annoying but it’s a cheaper site so understandable. A lot of room for pitches a lot with shade too. Only bad thing really is the road noise, hope you like the sound of truck Jake brakes!

Expensive park, $45/night for unpowered site.
Right behind a busy road, where lots of trucks stop. Dated facilities. Coin operated showers.

A nice quiet caravan park just on the outskirts of Napier and close to the airport.
It wasn't very busy when we arrived but we were greeted warmly by the lady on reception and the check in process was very easy. The toilets and showers were clean however you have to pay 50cents for 4 minutes of hot water and there were only 2 showers in the ladies which in summer might be a problem. There was a pub over the road and a takeaway shop as well for anyone interested. Would stay here again.

Was perfect for one night after a long day on the road.
And much cheaper than the other Napier campground. Toilets and showers very clean. Music in the facilities. Kind owners. Playgrounds for kids. Plenty of space. Wouldn't want to stay there several days as it is right beside the airport and the beach is not the nicest.

Lovely park, very easy to find and good location.
Has a very homely feel to it and the facilities were exactly what we needed! Everything was very clean, small fee for showers.

We booked in here for 3 nights, but was called away for an emergency, requested refund, as only stayed one night, receptionist pointed to note that said choose carefully no refunds, I commented that I
would be advising people not to pay in advance, and was accused by the receptionist to not threaten her?
My advice do not pay in advance if there is any chance of being called away. We also had an illegal power point, it was a cord dangling in the air. Toilets could have done with a proper clean. Also very noisy next to highway. Would never go again. Advertises they have Wifi but dont.

Good, but near the street, a little bit noisey (in the morning at 4am).

Excellent amenities, spotlessly clean, hot showers (50c), amazingly equipped kitchen.
Designated spaces so you can be rest assured your spot will still be your spot when you get back from your day out.

I stayed only one night.
The person at reception was very friendly & helpful. Toilets & showers were very clean. The kitchen would do better with some cutlery & better crockery. Only 3 km from Napier. Good value for money.
